The entire Kupa river valley is often nicknamed the \u201cButterfly Valley\u201d for this very reason. The road will take you along the right bank of the Kupa river, through the picturesque hamlets of Ku\u017eelj, Ga\u0161parci and Turke, and the numerous rapids and beaches are perfect for taking a dip. The water-powered mill and sawmill in Zamost and the ethnological collection of the house of Pal\u010dava \u0160i\u0161a in Ple\u0161ce are also a must-visit. The development of this area is credited to Petar Zrinski, who had an iron smelting plant built in \u010cabar in 1651. The most famous structure in \u010cabar is the 16th-century Zrinski Castle, located only 700 metres from the \u010cabranka river source. A more demanding ascent awaits you on the way from \u010cabar to Tr\u0161\u0107e, but every metre crossed will be well worth the effort. Immerse yourself in the rich scents of forest plants and visit a few unique viewpoints which can be reached on bicycle. A visit to the mountain lodges of the section will reward you with an authentic atmosphere of Gorski Kotar\u2019s unparalleled forests. The end of the section takes you to the Risnjak massif with its rich flora and fauna. The main entrance to the Risnjak National Park is located in Crni Lug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Starting from the centre of Tr\u0161\u0107e, explore the nearby hamlets of Lazi and Vrhovci. Lazi is a great little spot for an adrenaline holiday. Go back to the main road and follow it for 6 kilometres toward Prezid, then turn left in Kozji Vrh and keep cycling through a dense fir forest. Cycling in fresh mountain air, you will come up to Milanov Vrh, where you can marvel at the sight of deer hunting grounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Take the scenic gravel path back down to Tr\u0161\u0107e.
