The trail starts from the Gornje Jelenje crossing on the asphalt road in the direction of Platak, where you can refresh at Mali dom after a 10 km uphill ride. There are more climbs ahead on the way to Cajtig, from where you can also walk to Veliki Risnjak. Then starts the well-deserved descent to the next entrance to the National Park – Vilje, and after about 500m turn left to the forest path leading to Mrzla Vodica. The most attractive part is the basin of the Suha Rečina River, where the Romanov sheep farm is located.

Regain your strength in Mrzla Vodica and then continue on the old route of the Luisiana road towards Gornje Jelenje and enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Risnjak. Do not miss stopping at the highest point of this unique historic road – Ravno Podolje (928 m).
