The karst terrain around Lokve features an entire series of surface and underground karst phenomena. It is intended to connect them with trails to create a karst park. One of the most important components of this network is Lokvarka Cave: the largest and most beautiful underground karst phenomenon in this group.

The Lokvarka Cave, the second largest in Croatia, is especially interesting because the part open for tourists takes them 70m into the dark – to underground grottos full of magical calcium shapes. There are several galleries within the cave on adjacent levels and angles connected by steep steps and leaving a lasting impression on all who are fortunate to pass through it.
