Route statistics
This nearly 100-kilometre-long circular road route will leave everyone speechless, as it mostly runs along the Kupa river itself, as well as the Čabranka river. The scenic ascent from Čabar to the coldest village in Croatia in winter months – Parg – and the long descent down the serpentine section leading from Tršće to Gerovo will impress every cyclist.
The last part of the route takes you for a ride along the very boundaries of the Risnjak National Park, then through Delnice – the highest inhabited town in Croatia – and the 12-kilometre-long descent toward the Kupa river valley is just the cherry on top. Explore the Butterfly Valley inhabited by more than 200 butterfly species and visit the “Wilderness with a Sea View” permanent exhibition in the Zrinski Castle in Brod na Kupi.
