Matić poljana is already a well-known excursion site located near Tuk. In a vast meadow full of medicinal herbs and flowers, there are 26 stones symbolizing 26 partisans who froze during the march in 1944, breaking through the snowstorm from Jasenko to Mrkopalj. In their memory, the Peace Memorial – 26 frozen partisans – is held every year in Mrkopalj.
