Starting in Mrkopalj, follow the trail down the first three kilometres to Tuk, from where you will take on a three-kilometre ascent to Matić Poljana with its 26 Frozen Partisans Monument. From there on, take the gravel road to Jasenak and turn left after the 2-kilometre mark at the edge of Matić Poljana, which is the start of the ascent to the Jančarica Mountain Lodge. From Jančarica, the highest point of this route, cycle downhill to Vrbovska Poljana, a well-known destination for active holiday enthusiasts. In winter months, there is plenty of snow to be found here, and it is also a great place to enjoy nature.

From Vrbovska Poljana, take a mix of gravel and asphalt roads to Begovo Razdolje and Mrkopalj against the backdrop of the 1524-metre-high Bjelolasica – the highest peak of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
