Route statistics
The trail passes through Delnice’s King Tomislav Park, which is surrounded by tall coniferous trees and a sundial dating back to 1917. Numerous sports facilities, such as the town stadium, tennis courts, a bowling alley, a basketball court and a multi-purpose hall with a climbing wall (which gets transformed into a skating rink in winter), are just the cherry on top for Croatia’s highest town. Keep cycling along a small zoo home to deer and toward the Japlenica Peak Forest Park.
Right after the Lovački Dom lodge, the trail takes you through a forest and around the Japlenica peak. You will also pass through the scenic Pijaničevo meadow, and going back to the Lovački Dom lodge, you can take a break at the legendary 70-metre-high ski jump dating back to 1947, the first of its kind in Croatia. Enjoy the stunning view of the town, then cycle back to the town centre.
