
Route statistics






Starting from Brod Moravice, the trail takes you to the village of Delači and its ethnological monument protected by the Ministry of Culture – the Delač House, dating from 1644. In the house, you can see valuable ethnological and ethnographic displays. After around 3 kilometres, you will take an asphalt road to the right, leading to the ethno village of Šimatovo. Once there, you will again turn right, to a branching road toward the hamlet of Zavrh, which will lead you to the Obrh viewpoint and source, from where you will enjoy the views of the Kupa river canyon and the Slovenian hamlet of Žlebe. Then, return to Šimatovo and keep cycling to another viewpoint with a magnificent view of the neighbouring Slovenia and the Kupa river valley – the Kavranova Stijena viewpoint.
On your way back, cycle gently uphill through Klepeće Selo toward Moravička Sela and back to Brod Moravice, an area famous their brandies made from autumnal fruits, among which the “brinjevica” juniper brandy is renowned for its healing properties. On your route, you will cycle by a tall rock pillar known as “piljdak”, which was used to alert the local population of incoming attacks by Ottoman Turks.
