Natural attractionsBajer and Lepenica Lake

The area of Fužine is particularly rich in water. To conserve this great amount of water and make use of it, people have built three reservoirs in the Fužine area, which are particularly rich in fish and are popular for fishing.
The oldest reservoir, Bajer, was built in the 1950s. It is located in what used to be the attractive small River Ličanka valley in the immediate vicinity of Fužine. This lake is suitable for boating, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing due to its frequent wind circulation. An attractive footpath was built around the lake, and there is also the opportunity to go sightseeing in a tourist boat.

Lake Lepenica is the largest reservoir in the Fužine area. In the summer, it is particularly suitable for swimming, as the water temperature can reach more than 23°C. This lake is also the venue for underwater orienteering and fishing competitions.

The newest and smallest reservoir is Potkoš, which lies at the foot of the slopes of Mount Bitoraj between Fužine and Lič. This lake is an attractive excursion and picnic area.
